Bigfoot Patagonia Base Camp is located in the village Serrano, on the banks of the river of the same name, at the entrance to Torres del Paine National Park. Its exceptional facilities and impressive view of the towers are some of its most outstanding attractions.

Difficulty

This activity has a medium-high difficulty and requires some experience because it is kayaking in a river subject to changing weather conditions, typical of Patagonia. The area is characterized by a strong wind, so the safety of our passengers is our first, second and third priority.

Beginning of the excursion

We will meet in our Base Camp, where the necessary equipment for the excursion will be delivered, and where you will have the first contact with our guides, all certified to the highest safety standards. They will give you a security briefing and basics to paddle before moving in a vehicle near the Lago Grey Hotel.

During the navigation

We enter the water through the Pingo River sector, entering an icebergs area where we will sail for approximately 1 hour, enough time to contemplate the place and take pictures. Then, we will begin the descent by the river, where we will enjoy views of the Paine Massif and, if the weather allows it, we will paddle by rapids, being the final decision of the guides. The adventure continues at the Grey Bridge, where the decision of whether to end the excursion or continue to our base of operations on the banks of the Serrano River will be taken. The tour lasts approximately 5 hours, where we will travel almost 30 kilometers. Includes snack and hot drinks.

This activity has a minimum age limit 14 years old
