Ice Hike
The activity lasts 5 hours in total, of which at least 2.5 hours are on the Glacier (the route taken will depend on weather conditions and access available).
This hike requires good physical condition and you should always wear appropriate clothing for this excursion, including sunglasses, a hat, gloves, waterproof clothing and shoes with good ankle grip.
Before entering the glacier, the guide will give a safety briefing in which he will explain the techniques of moving on the ice and the correct use of the equipment. Once the briefing is over, the incomparable ice walking adventure will begin for about 2.5 hours on the Grey Glacier, observing crevasses, rivers, lagoons, tunnels and ice caves.
The excursions begin at our Grey Base Camp, located 15 minutes walk from the Grey Refuge in Vertice Patagonia, on the shores of Grey Lake very close to the glacier.
If you need directions to our starting point/start of the excursion, please do not hesitate to contact us by email. We will be happy to provide you with all the necessary help and information.
It is important to note that if you do not show up at the scheduled time for the excursion due to not knowing how to get there, no refund will be made. This policy applies to both customers who have booked directly with Bigfoot Patagonia and those who have booked through authorized travel agencies or tour operators.
